There is a limit to the pricing information we can put on our website without making it appear very complicated!

Traditional heater manufacturers want you only to focus on the purchase price and forget about running costs and maintenance. If we did this, it would be meaningless.

Infrared heaters - like low energy light bulbs - may look a bit more expensive to purchase, but cost a fraction to run and last so much longer. No Redwell heater has yet failed post manufacture (no maintenance costs) and we believe possible lifetime to be 130 years.

However in the following example, the heater used costs £300 +VAT and costs £50 annually to run. Compare this with an electric convection heater which might cost £30 to buy, but will cost £150 annually to run and will only last a few years!

Worked Example

To give you an idea of costs here is an example based on a bathroom in a typical brick built house. For this construction we would allow 25 Watts per cubic metre (m3) for Redwell heaters.

    Example room volume = 2.5m x 2m x 2.4m = 12m3

    12m x 25W = 300 Watts Total heating requirement for Redwell heaters.

A 350 Watt 'Smallround' panel will heat this space very effectively.

We would expect this to consume less than 500kWh (kilowatt Hours) of energy per year to fill this room with cosy warmth 24 hours a day.

This would cost £50.00 per year to run or £4.17 per calendar month at an electricity rate of 10 pence per kWh.

For comparison, heating this space effectively with an electric convection heater would require 1000Watts or more, costing nearly 3 times as much to run. This type of heater would also be unsightly and need replacing in a few years, unlike a Redwell panel.

With Redwell products there are NO servicing costs, NO maintenance costs and a 5 year guarantee.

The 350Watt Smallround panel costs around £300 + VAT and carriage.
Thermostats start from £24 each

Quotations requirements

To provide you with a quote we need to know some information about the space to be heated. We can either arrange for one of our representatives to visit you and gather this, or, if you can tell us the size of each room and a general idea of the type of construction of the property, we can send you a quotation.

The size of the room and construction determines the power of infrared panels you will need to comfortably heat it. The power is given in Watts and this will determine the size of the panels. You can then select the style of panel you'd like from the many options available which include a plain colour, a blackboard, a mirror or even a picture. The heating qualities of each style are exactly the same, but you can choose how it will look.
