Why Green Energy (eu)? Why now?
We are all becoming increasingly aware of the overt and often not so overt attempts to educate the public to “want to switch “ – from scientific concern about the environment; to government literature and tax-incentives; to media and commercial hype about saving energy in our homes. It goes with out saying that most people would love to reduce their energy bills, but to achieve this, it can appear to a lot of people to be a daunting and rather confusing path to travel down. There is a plethora of energy saving devices that will reduce our electricity bills and help the environment: low energy light bulbs, energy efficient heating appliances etc. We are all aware of the many terms that are constantly used to entice us into feeling that we are doing out bit to save the planet and at the same time save some money. But where to start?
Green Energy is here to steer you through the hype
Like everything there is a line between fact and fantasy: elegance versus pragmatism; commercial sense versus commercial nonsense which Green-energy is here to clarify. You do have a choice: there are benefits for you, your wallet and the environment. But there are also pitfalls, a large bandwagon of poor quality “me too” products and and an awful lot of noise. That is why Green Energy (Eu) recommends only stable, mature, recommended products on the Green Energy Site. But we also run a product evaluator (Power Helix) where we invite companies to submit their products for evaluation before promoting recommended products via Green Energy (Eu).

Our aim is to inform people of a range of energy saving electrical systems and products that are available and lead you to ethical, professional suppliers of them. We can also tell you about the latest technology to heat not only your house, but also the water that you use to wash your clothes and to bathe in. The modern energy efficient house can use electricity generated by the wind, the sun and by water. These new energy saving technologies can make for huge reductions in electricity, gas and oil bills, and will dramatically reduce carbon emissions.
