Green Energy at Melton's
"Green Day"
This
month Green Energy took part in the “Green Day” at Melton.
This great event brought together a whole range of eco
products, renewables and local producers and drew a good
attendance. There was a real sense of community at the event,
not only among the exhibitors but also with the visiting
public. |
We
got the feeling that we were all like minded people in our search
for a greener way of living. Huge thanks to Sue and the team at
B-Neutral who organised the event which ran without hitch. B-Neutral
are suppliers of Solar thermal systems and also run an eco-store
providing a huge range of environmentally friendly and sustainable
products. http://www.b-neutral.co.uk
Product News

This
months featured product is the Panelwave from Redwell. This
discreet unit is designed to fit directly into the suspended
ceilings often found in commercial and retail premises. Two
sizes are available to fit the most commonly used ceiling
systems such as the Academy
and the Bio guard ranges 598x598
and
618x618. |
The
huge benefits are that the heating system can be installed without any visible changes to the space, there is minimal disruption as the
panels simply lift out and drop in, and often wiring is already
available above the ceiling to connect into. No additional space is
taken up in the working area and, as with all Redwell products, they
simply connect to a mains supply via thermostat and you’re
away.

The
BBA
We
have now submitted our application for approval of Redwell
infrared heaters with the British Board of Agrément
(BBA) and
expect to finalise the contract in the next month. Expected
timescale for grant of the certificate is around 9 months.
Once granted, Redwell will be the first and only infrared
heating supplier certified for use by local authorities in the
UK. |
SAP
Ratings
We
are now in discussions with the BRE – the organisation responsible for
defining the methodology for SAP assessment about provision for this
type of infrared heating in the calculation. Our aim is to get an
amendment into SAP2009
– expected to be issued later this year.
Business
Development
We
have started a blog. Our website is very informative but it is
quite technical at times and oriented towards trade. We felt
we wanted a "plain english" forum where potential clients and
non-trade could find out more about Infrared Heating and interact by
posting comments and asking questions.
See
http://infrared-heating.blogspot.com
Have a look at the blog and perhaps use it yourselves as a
means of helping your clients learn about this new
energy-saving technology. And as the blog itself invites you
to do: please post comments and send-in feedback! Make
suggestions of posts you would like to see there. Make it
yours!
