Green Energy at
Sustainability Live (NEMEX)
May
was a hectic month which saw the Green Energy team exhibiting
at several major shows including Sustainability Live at the
NEC, the Suffolk Show and the Energy Fair at
Glemham.
These
were a great success and generated lots of interest in our
infrared heating systems and other product
lines. |
It
also gave us a great chance to see what else is new in the green
energy field. If you didn't see us at NEMEX have a look at the video on YouTube

New Wind Turbine
We
are eagerly awaiting details of the new helical wind turbine from
Redwell which we expect in the next
couple of weeks. It is anticipated that it will be more
efficient than existing products in the market with a very high
power yield yet small enough for general domestic use. Watch this
space – more details soon!

Our application for approval of Redwell infrared
heaters with the British Board of Agrément (BBA) was lodged in
April. |
We understand this can
take a while to process but once given, Redwell will be the first
and only infrared heating supplier certified for use by local
authorities in the UK.
We
at Green Energy are certain that Redwell infrared heating will
assist in reducing the
SAP ratings for
properties. New
levels have been set by ‘Building Control’ under Part
L Building Regulations - EU Initiative (EPBD). The current
problem is that there is no provision in the regulations for this
type of radiant heating and we are working on getting an amendment
for this. If this is causing you problems we have an information
pack available and please contact us for
assistance and advice.
Business
Development
Members of the team
recently met the Chief Procurement Officer from Suffolk County
Council. Infrared solves many of the problems with heating public
buildings and will help councils meet their mandate of carbon
neutrality by 2016. We introduced our infrared heating products and
are now looking to work with the council to help make Suffolk the
‘Greenest County’. If you are involved
with a local authority anywhere in the UK
please contact us to see how we can help you meet this
goal.
